Don Bosco is one of our trainee process consultants at HGS India. He shares with us his experience of our virtual hiring process, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
HGS: Describe your experience of getting interviewed virtually.
Don: This has been an exciting move in my career as this is my second job. It was a different experience as everything was on phone and online, which I think has helped to save a lot of time. I had actually found the opportunity directly through HGS recruiters, for which I’m glad.
HGS: Can you think of a reason you may prefer this to meeting face-to-face?
Don: In face-to-face interviews, an advantage is that we get to see the office and get a feel of what the environment is like. On the other hand, over the course of the virtual interview process, the recruiter has given a clear picture of what life at HGS is like. In that sense, I have no felt anything was missing even in the virtual process as I got a sense of both the work and the workplace.
HGS: What are you looking forward to the most in your HGS career?
Don: I’m looking forward to learning new skills and growing in my career. I’m also looking forward to the experience of working with a global company.
