DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Benefits Specialist handles the administration of a combination of benefit programs/areas.
- Responsible for the implementation of the HMO, Group Life Insurance, Group Personal Accident, Company Loan programs.
- Manages the enrolment, cancellation and claims for HMO, Group Life Insurance and Group Personal Accident.
- Responsible for ensuring efficient maintenance and update of the Company Benefits database.
- Validates benefit vendor invoices / billings.
- Pro-actively participates on all Benefit-related programs such as new program launch, wellness programs and C&B roadshows / orientation.
- Handles related questions, resolve issues and disputes, and processes employee requests.
- Prepares and communicates information to employees about the benefit programs, procedures, changes and government-mandated updates.
- Calculates and validates the deductions for the company-related benefits.
- Explains the various benefit options to new employees.
- Helps in researching or presents ideas for alternate benefit options and enhancement opportunities.
- Acts as liaison between employee and insurance provider.
- Stays up-to-date on Government-mandated regulations concerning insurance and other employee benefits.
Clinic Management
- Coordinates with the clinic vendor.
- Ensures efficiency of the clinic operations.
- Responsible with the medicine and clinic supplies inventory.
- Monitors clinic reports and incidents.
Other Services
- Reviews invoices and prepares request for payment and monitors status for releasing.
- Prepares and releases employee documents such as Certificate of Employment, Quit Claim and other related documents.
- Checks accountabilities of separated employees, liaise with finance and employee on final pay processing and releasing.
General Safety and Security
- Protects the organization?s assets by upholding the principles of the Quality Information Security Management System (QISMS).
- Ensures confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information critical to fulfilling the organization?s business functions.
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong working knowledge of general benefits guidelines and procedures.
- Good working knowledge of Labor Code and Labor Standards.
- Ability to address issues and concerns related to Company Benefits.
- Ability to handle confidential information and documents with integrity and care.
- Organized, systematic and has keen eye for details.
- Team Player. Able to work with colleagues, management and support groups.
- Exhibits ability to maintain relationship with vendors, benefit providers and business partners.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Education and/or Experience:
3 years of experience in the related field.
Work demands:
- Proficient in MS Office applications especially MS Excel.
