Job Description:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

System administration, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance

  • PBX
  • Adjuncts
  • CMS
  • SBC
  • IVR
  • Voicemail
  • Traffic measurement and Analysis
  • DRP / contingency set-up ?support?

Ensuring SLA commitments are met

PM / routine checks implementation

Project Implementation

  • Project management support and monitoring
  • UAT (Users? Acceptance Test)
  • Resource management
  • Vendor and clients relations
  • Creating advisory and other communications required to support the project

Security Management

  • Periodic check of long distance access
  • Implementation of security measure like PIN activation and expiration, system password change
  • Data storage and retention
  • Securing access to PBX or similar systems
  • Implement configuration changes as per approved  hardening policies

Data Management

  • Maintaining an updated technical design document
  • Configuration of PABX systems including VDNs, vectors and splits and also CMS configurations.
  • Systems backup and translations
  • QOS management
  • Security designs, management

Training and Education

  • Development of user guide or reference/ documentation
  • Survey on products and services
  • Cost/Usage Awareness campaign
  • Training, orientation or demonstration
  • Technology upkeep (trends, issues, and directions)

Prepare reports for Management monitoring

     and evaluation

  • Ensuring timely generation and submission of accurate reports

General Safety and Security

  • Protects the organization?s assets by upholding the principles of the Quality Information Security Management System (QISMS).
  • Ensures confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information critical to fulfilling the organization?s business functions.

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge in configuring PBX systems, Cisco Unity, Webex Cloud Experience, Adjuncts, CMS, Oracle SBC and Media gateways

Knowledge in transmission, switching technologies, concepts, products and operations.

Capable in troubleshooting and maintaining PBX systems and adjuncts

Basic understanding of Telco services (T1/E1, IP/SIP Trunking) with regards to voice

Knowledge in cabling and wire support systems, technologies, standards and specifications.

Knowledge in DRP systems, alternative systems and redundancy setups and configuration.

Knowledge in different internal communications facilities systems and technologies.

Knowledge in different Fraud prevention techniques and set-up.

Organizational and decision making skills.

Must have effective interpersonal and communications skills

Creative thinker.

Attentive to details.

Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet demanding deadlines

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required

Able to establish, implement and continuously improve the quality information security policies assigned to him / her.

Able to establish structure and procedures to protect classified information.

Able to report information security related incidents without any delay to the right authority.  Example: All information-related incidents, losses, weaknesses and software/hardware malfunctions, breaches of confidentiality.

Able to participate during training, orientation and awareness programs pertaining to QISMS.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Reports to:  IT Manager/ IT Sr. Manager

Graduate of a 4 to 5-year course preferably in Computer Science or any IT related courses

At least 5+ years? experience in administering, installing, configuring, supporting and designing full-scale Telephony System, PBX, Adjuncts, CMS, SIP and related devices/technologies

Team player with good interpersonal skills ? can easily relate with people in various levels of organization

At least 1-2 years operations management responsibilities

Industry certification an advantage

Willing to work on shifting work schedules and extended hours.
