Job Description:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING:

Preparation of adjusting entries, accruals and reclassifications and restatements for month-end closing activity. In charged of lease accounting which involve booking of monthly rent entries, quarterly recognition of IFRS 16 entries and preparation of IFRS 16 vs MIS reporting reconciliation. In charged of fixed asset accounting which involve monitoring of monthly asset movements, creation of asset number and validation of Net book value for insurance and PEZA processing. Preparation of monthly tax computation for FBT and booking corresponding payment vouchers and book adjustments. Compute impact of MTM gain/loss on forward contracts and book corresponding entries. Preparation of monthly schedules for the following accounts:

  • Accrued Expenses
  • Fixed Assets
  • Short/Long-Term Schedules
  • Accrued Taxes and Licenses
  • LT Debt and Other LT Liabilities
  • Forex Gain/Loss (Realized and Unrealized

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

TECHNICAL COMPETENCY:

  • Knowledge on Basic Accounting and Audit Principles

Able to prepare accounting entries accordingly to reflect actual day-to-day transactions. Able to identify erroneous documents submitted when checking accuracy and existence of transactions. Able to require documents as needed to ensure completeness of transactions. Able to make recommendations for adjustments. Accurately apply changes in the accounting standards as mandated in the PAS/PFRS.    

  • Familiarity on Company?s Standard Operating Policies and Procedures (SOPP?s)

Able to check compliance on M&Ps based on documents submitted for validation.

2.    Able to check proper approvers of documents per Company?s financial authority policy.

  • Knowledge on Tax Rules and Regulations

Able to identify proper tax rules on corresponding transactions. Able to plan and schedule tasks to be able to submit tax returns on time.

3. Able to effectively implement tax considerations (revenue and cost) related to PEZA activities, incentives and agreements.
