Job Role:
Apply interview, research and writing
expertise to create high-quality thought leadership content for our business
units. This is not a technical writing role, but rather a highly visible
client-facing position with writing that focuses on best practices and
big-picture industry themes.
What this
person will do:
- Excellent writing and content creation skills with the ability to write in a variety of voices that appeal to
targeted audiences
- Create content that is effective for a variety of digital marketing channels.
- Ensure content aligns with brand requirements and strategic messaging.
- Lead the content and rebrand for our Web experience.
- Partner with business unit leaders to develop topics that map to each thought leadership platform.
- Develop high-quality thought leadership content and drive feedback, editing and approval cycles to meet established deadlines.
- Provide writing and/or editing support for additional thought leadership or executive visibility content projects as needed (e.g., white papers, contributed content, award applications, etc.)
- Collaborate with or manage external freelancers as needed.
- Tracking and report progress toward milestones and on-time delivery.
- Contribute thought leadership/best practice ideas and content for other areas as needed.
- Provide expertise on which content types are most effective for the given objective and format the copy into the best format possible.
Skills/experience
needed to be successful:
- Minimum of seven years content writing experience with at least two years writing thought leadership content on the brand, agency side or at the executive level
- Excellent wordsmith, gifted storyteller and highly curious.
- Ability to translate data and other information into actionable messages that strongly connect with targeted audiences.
- A general understanding of the challenges facing executives and an understanding of the healthcare industry a must, knowledge of the BPO/BPM industry a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of the Healthcare Payer market, ideally with an operational emphasis is preferred.
- Absorb new concepts quickly and independently generate original and insightful ideas that reflect the business unit?s thought leadership goals.
- Understand an entrepreneurial mind-set and operate with speed and agility while still prioritizing quality results.
- Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills, deliver thoughts and direction in a clear and concise manner.
- Highly organized.
- Ability to quickly establish rapport with C-level executives in order to effectively capture and share their point of view and voice.
