Job Description:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

GOVERNMENT REPORTING AND UPDATES 

Strict Compliance on the requirements of PEZA on asset transfer and disposal requirements.

Ensure that documentary requirements as required by PEZA and BIR are compiled by the asset custodians and the respective process owners. Responsible for developing and project managing compliance with PEZA rules and regulations with responsible operations and compliance areas:

  • Registration of new projects
  • Validation of Income Tax Holiday and other benefits conferred under PEZA rules
  • Maintain required certificates after start of commercial operations
  • Preparation of all asset management requirements and PEZA permits and related documents to be processed
  • Measure domestic activities within the PEZA registered activities
  • Filling all reports as required by PEZA
  • Maintenance and control of organized filing systems of PEZA documents.

Processing of PEZA application and permits Work hand-in-hand with other department (Facilities, Payroll, IT, HR and Operations) for validation, streamlining and compliance Ensure to obtain PEZA bulletins and/or updates that are vital in company’s asset related transactions reporting computation, filing and remittances. Utilizes audit and PEZA objectives and procedures to review and assess the adequacy and application of internal controls through corporate operations. May require the development and refinement of audit/PEZA programs, questionnaires or other audit tools. Assist with the building and management an effective PEZA Compliance reportorial and schedules and is able to conduct annual risk assessment, deliver annual audit plan etc. Advise organization on PEZA registration and compliance matters and coordinate activities across all functions. Take ownership of the prompt resolution of any operational or relational issues affecting administrative department members. Ensure assets are insured and monitor renewal schedule of insurance policy. Also, facilitate filing of insurance claims for unreturned assets.

  • Protects the organization’s assets by upholding the principles of the Quality Information Security Management System (QISMS).
  • Ensures confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information critical to fulfilling the organization’s business functions.

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

A. TECHNICAL COMPETENCY:

  • Knowledge on PEZA rules and regulations and asset management in a BPO environment:

Knowledgeable on the RA 7916 implementing rules and regulations. Able to identify erroneous documents submitted when checking accuracy and the existence of documentation. Able to require documents as needed to ensure completeness of transactions before re. Able to make recommendations and resolve

  • Familiarity with Company’s Methods and Procedures (M&P’s)

Able to check compliance on M&P’s based on documents submitted for validation.

2.    Able to check proper approvers of documents per the Company’s financial authority policy.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Reports to:  Associate Director – Taxation and Compliance

  • Graduate of BSC, preferably an Accounting graduate
  • At least two (2) years’ experience in General Accounting or PEZA Compliance functions
  • Has hands-on experience working in a mechanized environment
  • Male or Female
  • Good analytical skills and interpersonal skills
  • Hardworking, flexible, attentive to details, organized worker
