Objectives and Responsibilities of the Enterprise Architect

An enterprise architect (EA) brings the knowledge & process expertise to design, build, and implement strategies that can help enhance business performance. The EA sets the direction and establishes the approach of developing/maintaining enterprise application landscape and owns the responsibility to ensure adherence to enterprise architecture framework.

Roles & Responsibilities

ｷ         Identify, assess, and solve complex business problems by enabling an architecture that can support business transformation and transition from the current state to a ?To-Be? enterprise environment

ｷ         Help design, architect, and scale the current IT landscape and processes to adapt to future business requirements and technology trends

ｷ         Drive enterprise business, application, data & technology architecture to reflect the organization''s strategies and goals and realize the desired business outcomes

ｷ         Evaluate internal functions, business development strategies & IT processes and recommend technical designs for new projects or change requests

ｷ         Responsible to catalog, develop, coordinate, communicate, maintain, and enforce overall enterprise architecture model for all implementations

ｷ         Lead proof of concept and/ or pilot implementations and define the plan to scale up the solution across functions or geographies

ｷ         Oversee the implementation of solutions covering multiple technologies, associated application / infrastructure architecture, development & operating model

ｷ         Manage multi-disciplinary teams to effectively communicate & implement programs

Qualifications & Mandatory Skills: 

ｷ         10 - 14 years of IT experience in consulting or technical implementations supplemented with Enterprise Architecture experience

ｷ         Strong experience in designing & building end to end business solutions and managing the project life cycle

ｷ         Prior experience in enterprise/ corporate applications (such as ERP, CRM etc.) and in industry leading Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) solutions

ｷ         Good understanding & knowledge of emerging technology trends (around analytics, cloud, user experience, security etc.) and their application to address complex business problems

ｷ         Good working knowledge in one or more of the areas involving ? business architecture, application architecture, data architecture, security architecture, technology architecture & micro services architecture

ｷ         Good understanding & knowledge of at least one of the industry frameworks (ex- TOGAF, Zachman, DoDAF etc.) and software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, RUP etc.)

ｷ         Working experience in one of more of the enterprise architecture tools such as BiZZdesign, Avolution, HOPEX, Planview, LeanIX etc.

ｷ         Excellent technical, analytical, and project management skills

ｷ         Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills

ｷ         Experience in leading large client engagements is preferable

ｷ         Practical industry experience in healthcare is desirable however is not a constraint
