We are looking for an experienced Instructional Designer to join our team. This role will be instrumental in analyzing, designing, and developing high-quality instructional materials that meet the needs of our learners. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of instructional design methodologies and demonstrate a passion for creating engaging and impactful learning experiences.

Experience:  3-5 years

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify organizational training needs and establish learning objectives.
  • Apply instructional design methodologies, such as ADDIE or SAM, to create detailed course outlines, storyboards, and instructional materials.
  • Design and develop interactive and engaging e-learning courses, instructor-led training materials, and other educational resources using various authoring tools.
  • Write, edit, and organize content in a way that aligns with learning objectives and enhances learner comprehension.
  • Develop assessment tools and strategies to measure learner performance against established learning objectives.
  • Implement feedback mechanisms and assessment methods to evaluate the effectiveness of instructional materials, recommending iterative improvements as needed.
  • Regularly communicate and collaborate with SMEs, trainers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational needs and standards.
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the instructional design field.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior instructional designers and other team members, enhancing the overall team's capabilities.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Content Development: Ability to write clear and concise instructional content tailored to the target audience.
  • Needs Analysis: Skills to assess the learning needs of a target audience and identify gaps or opportunities for training.
  • Assessment Design: Ability to design quizzes, tests, simulations, or other methods to measure a learner's understanding and application of the material.
  • Storyboarding: Structuring and outlining content flow, instructional strategies, and interactions for a course or learning module.
  • Content Curation: Ability to sift through information to determine what is most relevant and essential for the learning experience.
  • Evaluation Methods: Understanding how to assess the effectiveness of a learning program and making iterative improvements based on feedback.
  • Instructional Design Methodologies: Familiarity with instructional design frameworks like ADDIE or SAM to guide the process of creating effective learning experiences.
  • Learning Theories: Understanding foundational theories about how people learn, such as Constructivism, Behaviorism, or Cognitive Load Theory.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal skills to interact with subject matter experts, gather content, and present ideas.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to address learning challenges with innovative solutions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborating effectively with various stakeholders, including trainers, SMEs, and other team members.
  • Organizational Skills: Managing multiple tasks, timelines, and projects effectively.

Preferred Skills:

  • Willingness to stay updated with new instructional techniques, tools, and best practices in the educational field.
  • Understanding and considering the learner's perspective to ensure relevance and engagement.
  • Being open to feedback and using it constructively to improve instructional materials.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and how courses are deployed and tracked.
