We are seeking a HR Operations & Payroll leader, based at its Bridgetown site. Responsible for the company’s day to day HR operations - onboarding & offboarding activities, labor compliance, employee personnel records, HRMS (Workday, etc.) support, HR reports & dashboards, responding to employee queries, managing time-off configurations on HRMS, monitoring SLA adherence, establishing standard operating procedures and driving operational excellence in HR, ensuring payroll data is received, processed accurately and timely in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures. Participate in the activities of outsourced HRO, payroll processing, reimbursements, benefits administration, and payroll tax. Supports the development of Workday configuration to adhere to company policies, process and pay schedules. Maintains controls and operational excellence including, but not limited to, Internal/ External control audits, SOX compliance and testing, and overall regulatory compliance in HR.

Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing daily HR operations, ensuring they are in compliance with legal and company policies
  • Complete oversight of employee life cycle – hire to retire from a process/operations standpoint.
  • Custodian of reports & dashboards on all HR metrics and partner with other HR colleagues (HRBP, TA, L&D etc.) in publishing them to various stakeholders
  • Familiarity with outsourced HR & payroll operations and services required to execute timely and accurate delivery of HR operations & payroll services to all employees.
  • Build strong working relationships with various cross functional teams and stakeholders throughout Human Resources to understand customer needs and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Works with other internal teams regularly to assure complete coordination of onboarding & offboarding, pay, benefits, and compensation activities, while working with Third Party Providers to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Ensure HR & payroll records and documentation are maintained in accordance with statutory and audit requirements.
  • Builds and maintains effective vendor relationships.
  • Support in the delivery of major, complex enterprise projects including HRMS implementation /upgrade, payroll year-end, mergers and acquisitions, compensation planning, etc.
  • Evaluate, recommend and drive the process improvement of HR & payroll processes including automation opportunities.
  • Provides oversight to HR operations & payroll activities and processing integrity to ensure compliance with all applicable government and regulatory laws, regulations and requirements, and legal or contractual obligations.
  • Assists with oversight and provides backup of financial payroll activities, employee and employer deduction disbursements to statutory bodies, etc.
  • Manages escalations and delivers timely resolutions to complex HR operations & payroll inquiries.
  • Supports HR & payroll-related data conversions and related testing for acquisitions.
  • Assists with testing of new HRMS configurations, interfaces and special HR projects, as needed
  • Manage a team of HR operations and payroll analysts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of HR education and experience.
  • 12+ years of experience in HR operations & payroll roles. Healthcare, Pharma, BFSI GCC background preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations in the Philippines
  • Proficiency in HCM systems, payroll, time and absence modules.
  • Experience in functioning in HRO, and a shared services environment.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of HR operations & payroll best practices.
  • Proven successful interaction with cross-functional business partners and high level of understanding of business operations and internal control concepts.
