Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as finance SME to the Site leader and Katmon leadership.
- Single point of contact for Cigna finance & tax communications
- Relationship management with internal and external auditors & other finance compliance partners.
Governance, Risk Management and Oversite:
- Support and coordination with compliance partners of Katmon for complex financial transactions (i.e. seconded employee taxation, stock option & RSU plans, inter-company cross charges etc.)
- Managing the external audit(s) for financial reporting or regulatory inquiries.
- Strategic imperatives of Katmon (business case justification of Katmon and growth beyond original business case)
- Identifying and assessing organizational risk that could impact the Katmon’s ability to meet its financial goals.
- Drive 100% local regulatory compliance culture.
Operational Responsibilities:
General:
- Facilitate real time approvals required in running the Katmon operations locally (per the approved delegation of authority)
FP&A:
- Preparation and finalization of short- and long-term financial plan
- Reporting of actual spends vs budget across the various functions of Katmon.
- Day to day operational financial oversight
- Budget check and approval of expenses
- Forecast preparation for Katmon Operations
- Headcount governance
- Katmon program level value tracking
Payroll:
- Will provide internal review and approval of payroll prior to disbursement.
Qualifications
Experience / Knowledge, Education and Other Requirements:
- Advanced Degree – MBA in Finance or Chartered Accountant with 8+ years of financial analysis and leadership experience with a preference for Big 4 Accounting firm experience
- Experience in leading a team in managing full sets of insurance accounts and regulatory reporting is preferable.
- Experience of monthly accounting close process in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in insurance and within an international environment is preferable.
- Focus on strong control environment and experience of balance sheet reconciliations.
- US GAAP knowledge is preferable.
- IFRS 17 knowledge is preferable.
- Experience on Oracle or similar General Ledger packages.
- Strong MS Office and general PC skills are essential.
