Meet Recruiter Aaron

In this series, our recruiters speak about all that it takes to join Team HGS.

HGS: Tell us about your education and experience.

Aaron: I am a graduate of Illinois State University. I’m happy to say I started my career with HGS right after graduation and have been here ever since. I have worked in a variety of roles throughout my tenure with the company. I started working as a customer service representative (CSR) and then transitioned to a lead operator position. I have also led teams for some of the most dynamic accounts at HGS. Now, here I am in recruitment, eager to help create a success story for others!

HGS: What are some must-have qualities you look for in candidates applying to HGS?

Aaron: I like to see an eagerness to learn and a demonstrated drive to succeed. Of course, another big plus is a friendly demeanor that says, “How can I make your life better?” That’s important for a career in customer service.

HGS: What would be your pro tip for applicants?

Aaron: Be prepared, on time, and, most of all, present. Avoid being distracted. Be sharp and look sharp!

Make sure you are present. Being distracted doesn't help in interviews.

HGS: What is a question you never miss asking?

Aaron: I never miss the opportunity to ask what drives team members’ ambitions for success. It helps us as recruiters to understand candidates better, both as individuals and as professionals.

HGS: What do you tell your candidates about the culture at HGS?

Aaron: It’s an excellent opportunity to join a diverse global company with opportunities in a wide variety of roles, all of which set you up for success! Personally, my HGS stint has shaped me as a professional. I love the challenge of making another person’s life a little easier and seeing them succeed. We are all building this organization up with our work, team spirit, and inspiring work environment every day. I enjoy continually contributing to our collective growth.

At HGS, we have cultivated a culture where everyone’s career goals are appreciated. We support our employees with mentorship, training and development, and recognition. Come, grow your career with us.
